Charles Price

GREENE- Charles Price, 68, died at his home Thursday after a long illness. Born Aug. 8, 1897, at Rockford, Ill., he was the son of Thomas and Caroline Pagles Price. He came to Greene when 15. He was married to Mary Downing at Greene Nov. 22, 1921. They farmed west of Greene until 1937. He was a veteran of World War 1.

Surviving are his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Everett (Mary Lucille) Helger, Excelsior Springs, Mo.; Mrs. Clifton (Katherine) Todd, Kansas City, Kan.; Mrs. Don (Elizabeth) Kellogg, Charles City; Mrs. Duane (Patricia) Leavens, Greene; a sister, Mrs. Anne Haber, and a brother, Thomas Price, both of Rockford, Ill.; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at the Reid Funeral Chapel Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m.
