Franklin A Yeoman was born in Amherst, Oh on May 14, 1850 and died May 23rd 1919 at the age of 69 years 19 days. When he was two years of age his parents moved to Wisconsin, where they resided til he was 10 yrs of age. In 1860 the family returned to Amherst, Oh where they remained until 1866, then coming to Mahaska county IA where he grew to manhood.

In 1876 he was married to Miss Catherine Stout. To this union three children were born, Mrs.(Lilla M) Alonzo S. Woodward, Waterloo IA. Charles A. Yeoman of Greene Ia. Mrs. (Luella R) Theodore Thomas of Greene IA, all of whom survive.

He is also survived by his aged mother Fanny Axtell Yeoman of Fremont, IA, four brothers, OrsemusN. and John D. Yeoman of Fremont, IA and Burt W. and Wiliam R. Yeoman of Washington state and 2 sisters, Mrs. Ella Parlet of Pomeroy WA and Mrs Ida Harkins of Fremont IA and seven grandchildren.

In the year of 1880 he moved to Butler county IA where he resided the remainder of his life. In 1902 he was converted and joined the Methodist church in Green IA and has lived a devoted christian life.

The last 10 years of his life he has been badly afflicted, but thru all was always cheerful, glad to see his friends winning the confidence, esteem and goodwill of the entire community.

Services were conducted Sunday afternooon from the Methodist church in charge of Rev EA Baker. The burial services were at Rose Hill Cemetary, Greene IA in charge of the 1.0.0.F. The large attendance of friends bespoke the esteem of the community for this departed brother.

Relatives who came to attend the funeral were, Mr. O Yeoman, Mr. John Yeoman, Will Yeoman, Mrs Ida Harkins, Chester Roquet, Ira Roquet, and George Roquet of Fremont IA, Mrs. Martha Axtell and Herman Axtell of Strawberry Point, Mrs and Dr. Taylor of New Hampton, Earl Roquet of Fort Des Moines, Mrs. Georgia Bennett of Des Moines, Mrs Edith Saner of Sigourney, Floyd Yeoman and the Woodward family of Waterloo.
