NEW HARTFORD — Marie Elizabeth "Aunt Ree" Adelmund, 61, of New Hartford, died Monday, Aug. 23, at home.

She was born Oct. 24, 1948, in Waterloo, daughter of Arthur and Bette Chamberlin Brandes. She married Allan Adelmund March 2, 1968, at Maywood Church.

She graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1966. She worked at Plastronics, Clay Equipment/Top Air for 28 years, and for Bossard. She was a member of New Hartford United Methodist Church.

Survived by: her husband; a daughter, Colleen Adelmund of New Hartford; a granddaughter, Leah; a godson, Matt Adelmund of Cedar Falls; and four sisters, Jackie (Dave) Conger of Waterloo, Darlys Martinez of Maywood, Diane (Wink) Lutjens of Maywood and Doris (Richard) Sapp of Missouri.

Preceded in death by: her parents; and a nephew, Daniel Conger.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at New Hartford United Methodist Church, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, New Hartford.

Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Shell Rock.

Memorials: may be directed to the family.

Marie enjoyed music and going to concerts, her pets, trivia, fishing, playing games on the computer and reading. However, her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family (including the birds).
