PARKERSBURG - Robert "Bob" Kenneth Sullivan, 69, of Parkersburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, of natural causes.

He was born April 4, 1941, in Dorchester, Mass., son of Eugene and Elenore Blanchard Sullivan. On June 19, 1965, he married Mary Jule McGraw at St. John's Catholic Church, Des Moines.

Mr. Sullivan received his education at Fort Lauderdale High School in Florida, then served in the U.S. Air Force. The couple lived in Cedar Falls, Dike, Waterloo and Grundy Center, and then Punta Gorda, Fla., where he was a foreman for a bicycle manufacturing company. In 1972 they returned to Iowa and he worked at H.H. Machine & Tool Co., Cedar Falls. In the 1990s he purchased and owned and operated Copyrite Press, Waterloo, and then purchased and owned and operated Auto Tech Inc., Waterloo, retiring in 2001. He was a member of Holy Family Parish and attended St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Parkersburg, where he had served as a eucharistic minister. He was a member of the Holy Family Parish Knights of Columbus, the Guy W. Iversen AMVETS Post 49, Cedar Falls, where he served as financial officer for three years, and was a member of the Parkersburg American Legion Post 285.

Survived by: his wife; a son, Dan (Lisa) of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; a daughter, Sherri Sullivan of Parkersburg; three grandchildren, McCartney and Harrison Sullivan, and Riley Sullivan; a great-granddaughter, Bailey Sullivan; and a sister, Jeannie Oliver of West Palm Beach, Fla.

Preceded in death by: his parents.

Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Parish St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, both in Parkersburg.

Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a 6:30 p.m. Scripture service, at Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Visitation also an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to the family and Cedar Valley Hospice House on Kimball, Waterloo.
