Timothy Lee Stille, of Shell Rock, Iowa, died Sunday evening, April 15, 2007 on his 55th birthday at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa following a 10 year battle with Polyclonal Lymphositic Tracheal Bronchitis, a respiratory disease.

Tim was born on April 15, 1952, in Waverly, Iowa, the son of Lester and Pearl (Nitcher) Stille.

He attended school in the Waverly area, graduating from the Waverly-Shell Rock High School in 1971. Following high school, Tim worked construction for a couple of years. On May 26, 1972, Tim was united in marriage to Mary Phelps at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly. The couple made their home in the Waverly-Shell Rock area. Tim later began his career as an auto technician. Tim then went to work for Coonradt Ford in Waverly and then Shell Rock Ford, before starting his own business, Shell Rock Truck and Auto. On August 27, 2000, Tim was baptized at Heritage United Methodist Church in Waverly.

Tim was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church, Chickasaw Trail Riders and he was a former Head Judge of the Iowa - Minnesota Chuck Wagon Association. He enjoyed volunteering at Usher’s Ferry Living History Village in Cedar Rapids, flathead stock car races, draft horses, farm obstacle courses around the area, fishing with friends and relatives. Tim loved a campfire and the people who shared it with him, especially his family, friends and grandchildren.

Tim is survived by his wife, Mary of Shell Rock, Iowa; two daughters, Melisa “Missy” Lubben and her husband, Cory of Allison, Iowa, Melinda “Mindy” Goetz of Nashua; three grandchildren, Hannah and Peyton Goetz and Levi Lubben; his mother, Pearl Stille of Shell Rock; his twin brother, Tom Stille of Shell Rock, Iowa, his sister, Sheila Beekman of Apple Valley, California, his brother, Allan Stille of Shell Rock, Iowa.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Lester.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday at Heritage United Methodist Church in Waverly, with Pastor Robert Holdorf officiating.

Burial will be in Andrews Cemetery, rural Waverly.

Public visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly and also 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at Kaiser-Corson in Waverly and also an hour prior to services on Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
