Albert C. Dralle, age 93, of Allison, died Friday, June 22, 2007 at the Allison Health Care Center.

Albert was born on September 17, 1913 in Allison, Iowa the son of Henry Jr. and Lottie Wessels Dralle.

He was raised and educated in the Allison area and attended West Point Country School #7. After finishing school he went to work for two of his uncles as a farm hand. On March 2, 1936 Albert was united in marriage to Nida Miller at St. Jacobus Lutheran Church in Allison. Albert then started farming on his own near Bristow for several years before moving to farms they rented near Allison and Greene, where he row cropped and raised livestock. He retired from farming in 1970 and became the grounds keeper at the Waverly and Clarksville golf courses. Albert’s enjoyments included fishing, hunting, trapping, feeding birds, cracking walnuts, and spending time with his grandchildren. Albert was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Allison.

Albert’s memory is honored by two daughters, Linda Heyer and husband, Donald of Waverly and Dorothy Codner and husband, Mike of Bristow; a son, Joseph Dralle and wife, Nadean of Clarksville; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; a sister, Viola Roberts of Grundy Center; a brother-in-law, Melvin Cassman of Clarksville; and three sister-in-laws, Dorothy Dralle of Clarksville, Donna Dralle of Waverly, and Margaret Dralle of Allison.

Preceded in death by his parents, his wife on June 22, 2005, six brothers, John, Harry, Leo, Vern, Floyd, and Leland Dralle, a sister, Lucille Cassman, and a seventh brother, Edward in infancy.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, June 25, 2007 at the St. James Lutheran Church in Allison with Pastor Jeff Blank officiating.

Interment will follow at Allison Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 6 until 8 P.M. on Sunday, June 24th at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Shell Rock.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
