Ione M. Ringleb Gosch, age 84, of Clarksville, died Friday, February 01, 2008 at the Clarksville Community Nursing Home.

Ione was born on August 19, 1923, Butler County, Iowa, the daughter of Peter and Dena (Eckhoff) Groen.

She was baptized in the Shell Rock Lutheran Church and confirmed in the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Clarksville. Ione graduated from the Shell Rock High School and later from Wartburg College. Her degree was in elementary education. Her teaching career spanned 32 years including Fremont Township, Clarksville Community and Sumner Community Schools.

Ione is a member of the Immanuel Church of Christ in Clarksville. In the past she had been a member of various organizations in both Clarksville and Sumner and was currently a member of Chapter IT- P.E.O. In 1945 Ione was united in marriage to Julius Ringleb. Julius made a living as a truck driver in the Butler County area. Julius passed away in 1969. In 1975 Ione was united in marriage to Donald Gosch of Sumner. Both her and Don where educators at the Sumner Community Schools. Donald passed away in 2000. Ione's enjoyments included traveling, country drives, reading, and spending time with her family.

Her memory is honored by her three sons; Mark (Nancy) Ringleb of Clarksville, Bruce (Karen) Ringleb of El Campo, TX, and Daniel (Barbara) of Grand Rapids, MI, a daughter, Pamela (David) Grieger of St. Louis, MO, nine grandchildren; Jennifer (Nathan) Redmond, Stacie (Kelly) Krutilek, Mathew (Aubrey) Ringleb, Joshua (Kristi) Ringleb, Zachary, Jordan, and Chelsey Grieger, and Rebecca and Rachel Gosch, four great grandchildren; MacKenzie, Madison, and Jade Redmond, and Bennett Ringleb, three brothers; Art Groen of Shell Rock, Ray Groen of Waverly, and Bud Groen of Waterloo, four sisters; Marlys Schrage of Hampton, Beulah (Gerry) Vetter of Nashua, Ethel (Bernard) Buskohl of Holland, and Dorothy Brocka of Bristow and two sister-in-laws; Doris Groen of Shell Rock and Leona Groen of Clarksville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a daughter, Connie Lee Ringleb, three brothers, Bernard, Irvin, and Wilbur Groen, and a sister, Ruth Ellerman.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February, 6th, 2008 at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Clarksville with pastors Lynn Busch officiating.

Burial will follow at the Lynwood Cemetery in Clarksville.

Vistation will be held on Tuesday, February 5th at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly where the family will greet friends from 4 until 7 p.m.

A memorial has been established in her name.
