Pamela Jean Tietz, 47, of Shell Rock, Iowa passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

Pamela was born on September 18, 1961, the daughter of Raymond and June (Crosby) Ackerman in Charles City, Iowa.

She graduated from Clarksville High School in 1980. Pam later entered the U.S. Army for a short time. She was employed at the Larrabee Center Inc. in Waverly, Iowa. On May 10, 2008, she was united in marriage to Grant Tietz in Waverly, Iowa. The couple made their home in Shell Rock, Iowa.

Pam was a member of the First Baptist Church in Shell Rock. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, loved to travel, riding her 4-wheeler, doing latch hook and her dog, Shy Rae.

Survivors are her husband, Grant Tietz of Shell Rock, Iowa; her mother, June Ackerman of Clarksville, Iowa; two sisters, Mary (Marlin) Hinders of Clarksville, Iowa and Sandy (Don) Miller of Clarksville, Iowa; brother, John Smith of Atlantic, Iowa; her mother and father-in-law, Marvin and Susan Clark of Shell Rock, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Ackerman.

Family conducted Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Shell Rock with Pastor Alan Dicks officiating.

Inurnment will follow in the Lynwood Cemetery in Clarksville, Iowa.

The family will greet family and friends and hour prior to the memorial service at the church.

There will be no visitation, Pamela's body has been cremated.

Memorials may be left to the family's discretion.
