Regina Marie Schneider, 86, of Shell Rock, died Wednesday, June 23, at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community, Waverly.

She was born Oct. 31, 1923, in Rochester, Minn., daughter of Alfred and Florence Dempsey Hanson. She married Francis W. Schneider on Nov. 11, 1943, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Westhampton Long Island, N.Y. He died April 13, 1970.

Mrs. Schneider graduated from Clarion High School and later worked at the Shell Rock Care Center. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Survived by: two sons, Duane (Connie) of Waverly and Kenneth (Cathy) of Shell Rock; six daughters, Barb (Larry) McCauley of Coweta, Okla., Mary (Lewis) Newcomer of BonAqua, Tenn., Margaret (Gary) Foutch of Griffith, Ind., Lois (Terry) Morrill of Waverly, Francine Schneider of New Philadelphia, Ohio, and Donna Johnson of Shell Rock; 29 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ray (Pat) Hanson of Leawood, Kan.

Preceded in death by: a son, Jimmy; a grandson; and a brother, Roger Hanson.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Waverly, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Shell Rock.

Public visitation from 4 to 7:30 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, with a 7:30 p.m. Scripture service.

Visitation also an hour before services Saturday at the church.
