PARKERSBURG - Kathryn J. Andreessen, 88, of Gladbrook, formerly of Parkersburg, died Wednesday, March 31, at Westbrook Acres, Gladbrook.

She was born June 20, 1921, daughter of George and Fannie Hinders Eilers in Stout. She married Harlan Andreessen on Oct. 19, 1936, in Stout. He preceded her in death May 29, 1985.

The couple farmed and owned Andreessen Livestock and Trucking for many years, retiring in 1973.

Survivors: a son, Larry "Bob," of Austin, Minn.; two daughters, Carol Jeanne (Ralph) Meewes, of Melbourne, Fla., and LuAnn, of Cedar Falls; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Tena Molendorp, of Parkersburg.

Preceded in death by: her husband, Harlan; a son, Marlyn; two infant sons; a brother, George Eilers; and four sisters, Marie Coleman, Minnie Kramer, Virley Heine and Myrna Raymond.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Stout Reformed Church, with burial in Stout Cemetery. Visitation from 3 to 6 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls.
