Andrew J Schipper, 82, of Waverly, formerly of Parkersburg, died Wednesday, March 31, at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community, Waverly.

He was born on Jan. 20, 1928, in Aplington, son of John G and Bena Eilderts Schipper. He married Angeline R. Dreesman on Jan. 10, 1950, at Reformed Church Parsonage, Allison. She preceded him in death on May 11, 2009.

He attended school in Butler County. The couple farmed near Allison, retiring in 1955. Mr. Schipper worked for the B.G. Johnston Elevator, Parkersburg, and was a custodian for the Parkersburg School, retiring in 1990.

Survived by: three daughters, VerJean (R. Winston Slater) Mirrielees of Hampshire, Ill., LaVonne (John) Card of Cedar Rapids and RaeLynn (Frank) Warren of Imperial Beach, Calif.; two grandsons, Matt and Ryan Warren; a brother, John J. (Trena) of Aplington; four sisters-in-law, Wilma of Aplington, Amelia of Allison, Esther Lageschulte of Waverly and Norma (Frank) Zahn of Dubuque; five brothers-in-law, Ernest Dreesman, Fred (Kay) Dreesman, Dick (Velda) Dreesman and Larry (Mary) Dreesman, all of Waverly, and Eugene (Betty) Dreesman of Clarksville.

Preceded in death by: his wife, Angeline; two brothers, George J. and Steno J.; a brother-in-law, Chester Lageschulte; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Dreesman.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Grace Baptist Church, Waverly, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Parkersburg.

Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community.
