Anna May Buseman, age 89, of Aplington, died on Friday, February 20, 2009 at the Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at the Austinville Christian Reformed Church with burial in the Austinville Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-7 P.M. Monday at the Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley.

Anna May Buseman was born on January 7, 1920 to John and Grace (Mulder) Kromminga. On January 1, 1940 she married Rudy Buseman. They farmed in the Butler County area until retirement and then moved to Ackley. Rudy passed away on September 5, 1984.

The last 6 ½ years she lived at Maple Manor Village in Aplington. Anna was a member of the Christian Reformed Church of Austinville. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, baking, reading, and visiting with family and friends. She enjoyed a good baseball game. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and her smile.

She is survived by two sons, Duane (Sharon) and Lee (Darlene) both of Aplington and one daughter, Rose Reinig (Steve) of Manchester; 8 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rudy; a brother, Henry Kromminga; two sisters, Marian Harken and Julia Johnson; two daughters-in-law, Jeri Buseman and Diletta Buseman; and one great grandson, Trayton Meyer.
