Ervin Miller, age 91, of Aplington, died on Friday, November 20, 2009 at the Maple Manor Village in Aplington.

Services are 2:00 P.M. Monday November 23 at the United Methodist Church in Ackley with visitation 1 hour prior to services.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley is in charge of arrangments.

Ervin LeRoy Miller was born February 15, 1918 in Aplington Iowa, the son of Henry and Harmenia Miller. Ervin attended school in Butler County. On September 6, 1941 Ervin was married to his wife of 68 years Adelyn in Unionville, MO. Ervin was a farmer all of his life and retired in 1983. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and held various positions in the church.

Ervin is survived by his wife Adelyn. His sons Neulyn Miller and wife Linda of Pleasantville; Dawson Miller and wife Linda of Des Moines; a brother Don Miller and wife Lucy of Aplington; a sister Irene Card of Ackley; a sister in-law Jean Miller of Dumont; a granddaughter Rebecca Oliva and husband Mike of Pleasantville; granddaughter Sherry Miller of Pleasantville; granddaughter Amy Wood and husband Gary of Corydon; grandson Brett Miller and wife Wendy of Des Moines; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Ervin was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two brother in-laws.
