Wayne E. Boveia (1911-2002)

CEDAR FALLS- Wayne E. Boveia, 91, of the Western Home, died Sunday, June 2, at the home of natural causes.

He was born Feb. 23, 1911, in Plainfield, son of Albert L. and Nancy C. Whiteside Boveia. He married Mata L. Walters on Oct. 10, 1932, in Galena, Ill. She died May 24, 1998.

Mr. Boveia was employed at Rath Packing Co, and then John Deere, both in Waterloo. He moved to Vancouver, Wash., where he worked for Kaiser Ship Yards, then in 1956 he went to work for Crown Zellerbach Paper Co., retiring 1973.

Survivors include: a son, Russel of Placentia, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: five sisters, Gyenth Smith; Ardith Rowray; Ethel Brus,Verley Boveia and Marjorie Toresdahl; and four brothers, Eldon, Clark, Clyde and and an infant, Francis.

Graveside services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Harlington Cemetery, Waverly. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly.
