Greenberry Bright Luck was born at Bowling Green, Mo., Nov. 9, 1833 and passed away at his home in New Hartford, Iowa, February 6, 1825 aged 91 years, 2 months and 28 days.
He was married to Miss Susan Williams in 1854, this being the first marriage in Butler county. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Holbrook at the Clark home in Clarksville. To this union were born ten children, seven of whom survive. They are Mrs. C. E. Bowen, Mrs. Will Brennan, Mrs. Bolton, John and Ernest Luck of New Hartford, Mrs. Ackerson of Parkersburg and Mrs. Grandon of Shell Rock, three along with their mother having preceded their father to the great beyond.
There are besides the seven children, 42 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren.
Greenberry is the son of L. P. Luck and the last of fourteen children. Mr. Luck left the farm in Beaver township twenty-two years ago, going first to Sinclair where he conducted a store for one year and then moved to New Hartford which has been his home for the last twenty-one years.
Funeral services were conducted from the Baptist church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Van Dran in charge. Interment was made in Beaver Grove cemetery.
