Funeral services were held Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church for Teresa Doyle, who passed way Friday at 8:05 P.M. at the home of her niece, Mrs. Will Sylvestor and family. Burial was in the Coldwater Catholic Cemetery, South of Greene. Father M. J. Hogan and Father Joseph Murphy officiated the services.

Miss Doyle was born in Perth, Canada, April 6, 1850, and died at the age of 87 years, 8 months, and 26 days. She was the daughter of Robert & Bessis (SMITH) Doyle and the last of a family of ten children; three boys and seven girls. She accompanied her family to the United States in 1865 and to Butler Center, the County Seat of Butler County soon after the close of the Civil War. The past 37 years, she has made Greene her home.

About a month ago, Miss Doyle was taken ill and removed to the home of her niece. She recovered from that illness and about ten days ago, was stricken with pneumonia, from which she failed to rally.

Surviving are 29 nieces and nephews and a number of grandnieces and grandnephews, and many friends who regret her passing. Miss Doyle was a staunch Christian, and a kind neighbor and friend.
