Bonnie Jo Sexton, age 70, of Sioux Rapids, Iowa, died on April 10, 2013, at the Sioux Care Center in Sioux Rapids.

Bonnie was born on September 25, 1942, in Des Moines, Iowa. Growing up, she attended school in Albert City where she graduated in 1961.

Bonnie loved spending time with her family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoyed decorating her home.

Those left to cherish her memory include her four daughters: Shelli (Glenn) Haire, of Lemon Spring, North Carolina, Lori Vanderhoff (fiancé, Doug), of Rembrandt, Iowa, Vicki (Bruce) Stykel, of Everly, Iowa, and Traci Barber (fiancé, Phillip), of Sanford, North Carolina; ten grandchildren: Ryan (Candice), Ralyn Nissen, Rachel (Sebastian) Venturea, Tony (Shannon Roach) Vanderhoff, Josie (Charles) Weier, Aaron (Amber Miller) Stykel, Cody Stykel, Dustin (Jessica Moore) Barber, Jacob and Devin Barber; and eight great grandchildren: Naomi, Faith, Daniel, Keaton, Landon, Grace, Hanna, and Baylie; as well as other extended family members and friends.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Sexton and Delphine Kennedy; her stepmother, Irene Sexton; and one granddaughter, Lindsey.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2013, at the Fairfield Township Cemetery in Albert City, Iowa. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Sioux Rapids is in charge of the arrangements.
