January 1, 1942 ~ December 20, 2018 (age 76)

Nyine Shwe, age 76, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Nyine Shwe, a son of Pahkaw Lah and Mah Thay Kyi, was born in Myanmar on January 1, 1942. Having lived his youth in Myanmar, he married Naw Hae. To this union, one daughter was born, Muler Paw. During his life, Nyine worked as a farmer. In 2014, he came to the United States and resided in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 2015, he moved to Storm Lake, Iowa, where he has lived since. Nyine will also be remembered as a hunter and a boxer.

Nyine is survived by his family which includes his wife, Naw Hae, of Storm Lake, Iowa, his daughter, Muler Paw, also of Storm Lake, his grandchildren: Kyaw Rue Pe, Ka Lu Moo, Po Jue, Theing Soe, Hla Shwe, Simeon Seeing, and Hser Pey; his great grandchildren: Eh Kler, Tha Moon, EhTha Gay Moo, Nathan Glo Say Moo, Hachtce, and Nay and Kendrick Jue; and a sister, Naw Poh, of Thailand.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at 3:30 p.m. at the Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Visitation will take place during the hour before the service at the funeral home. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
