M. Wayne Robb
June 29, 1927 - December 7, 2018Wayne Robb, age 91, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on Friday, December 7, 2018, at his home in Storm Lake.
Milton Wayne Robb was born on June 29, 1927, in Cherokee to Floyd and Eva (Duvall) Robb. Educated in Cherokee, he enlisted in the Navy and saw action in the Pacific Theater. After his honorable discharge, he worked first for Fareway for twelve years and then as an area supervisor for the northern half of Iowa for Imperial Oil. Lastly, he worked for Harold Carlson as a finishing carpenter, a job he truly enjoyed.
After Wayne built a home for his family on Storm Lake, he spent the next eighteen years watching the sun rising and setting over the water. Retired, he had the time to do the gardening and to help LaVonne with the housework. In addition, he did a lot of volunteer work for the Buena Vista Historical Society Museum which included designing and making all the display cases in the lobby as well as similar work in the main area.
With a wonderful sense of humor, Wayne brought smiles and laughter to all. He found great joy in his family. He is gone, but never forgotten.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, LaVonne; his children: Sue Ruden, Steve (Clara) Robb, and Sarita Henricksen; his grandchildren: Michelle Simmons, Nathan Ruden, and Nikki Danielsen; Seth (Branae) Robb and Mark (Brooke) Robb; Adam Mastrodomenico; and Montana and Nevada Henricksen; and ten great-grandchildren; as well as extended family members and friends.
After private family services, Interment will follow in the Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
