Wesley Baker was born to Seth S. and Julia Baker on April 10, 1911 in St. Clair county, Missouri. He was married to
Virginia E. Cash on August 23, 1935. Mr. Baker spent the last 31 years in Iowa and the last 25
years in the Newell area.

In the last year he had been failing in health and he entered the Buena Vista County hospital in early December. On Feb. 28,
1972 he passed away from this earthly life at the age of 60 years and 10 months and 18 days.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia, two daughters, Mrs. Norma Genter of Hebron, 111., and Mrs. Juanita Martin of Storm Lake; a son, Richard of Newell; two sisters, Mrs. Jeanne Redeni and Mrs. Artie Manly; a brother, Joseph Baker, and seven grandchildren.

Mr. Baker was preceded in death by three children, one grandchild, one brother, Lee Baker and one sister, Violet Irene Baker.
