STORM LAKE PILOT - Thu, Nov 22, 1883 - Died at his fathers home in Storm Lake Sunday evening Nov 18, 1883, Frank E Springer, aged 25 years, 5 months, and 20 days.

Something over two weeks ago Mr Springer was taken sick with what proved to be a stricture of the bowels. After a hard fight this trouble was overcome but the patient did not rally and in a few days passed away.

In order to learn the cause of death a post mortem examination was made on Monday by Dr Johnston in the presence of nearly all the other physicians in town, when it was found that a large abscess had formed which resulted fatally.

The funeral occurred from the family home on Tuesday.
