Storm Lake Pilot-Tribune - Thu, Feb 14, 1957 - Storm Lake lost a beloved woman in the passing of Mrs George J Schaller Wednesday noon at the Buena Vista County hospital. Death came from a heart attack as a result of a fall on Jan 22 at the Schaller residence, 302 Lake Avenue. Mrs Schaller sustained a fractured left shoulder. She failed to recover from the shock and gradually grew weaker until she fell peacefully asleep at 12:10 Wednesday.

Services will be at the Lakeside Presbyterian church Friday. Interment will be in the family cryptorium in Lake View cemetery.

Eloise Warren Schaller was born at Waterloo, Iowa on Dec 12, 1871, the daughter of A.J. Warren and Julia Dutton Warren. The family soon moved to Luverne, MN and then to Rock Valley, Iowa in 1876.

She was married to George J Schaller on April 5, 1899 and moved to Storm Lake as a bride at that time. Since her marriage Mrs Schaller lived in Storm Lake continuously except for 7 years from 1934 to 1941 when she resided in Chicago. This was during the period that Mr Schaller was president of the federal reserve bank of Chicago.

Mrs Schaller was preceded in death by two sons: Earl and Edward.

She leaves to mourn her passing, George J Schaller, her husband; two children: Catherine S Yon and Harry W Schaller; 6 grandchildren: Mrs Eloise Yon Prichard of Des Moines, Mrs Annette Kitchen of Freeport, IL, and Carolyn Schaller, Wyatt S Yon, and George H Schaller, all of Storm Lake.
