STORM LAKE PILOT TRIBUNE - Apr 5, 1934 - Albert Reichter, former Grant township resident, died at Faulkton, S.D., Friday March 30th, following an operation for acute appendicitis. He was 53 years of age. The body was brought to the Hughes Funeral Home Sunday and funeral services were held there Tuesday afternoon at 2:30. The Rev. George Bray officiated. Interment was in the mausoleum in the Storm Lake cemetery.
Albert Reichter was born April 26th, 1881 and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Christ Reichter. In 1898 the parents brought the family to Grant township, where he lived there with his parents. He was united in marriage to Miss Dora Marks and they moved to South Dakota, where he lived until his death.
By occupation Mr. Reichter was a farmer and at the time of his death was assisting Herman Freitche of Faulkton, S.D. He suffered an attack of acute appendicitis and was rushed to a hospital, but it was too late for he succumbed from the operation. He was a member of the German Lutheran church and died a member of that faith.
He was one of a family of eight children, his father and mother, two brothers, John and William, and a sister, Minnie, preceding him in death.
Surviving him are three sisters and one brother: Mrs. Lina Wisenbaum of Altemont, Kansas, Mrs. Emma Bulick and Mrs. Alice Fullensworth of Storm Lake, and Carlos Reichter of Sulphur Springs; and by many other relatives and friends. At the time of his death he was 52 years, 11 months, and 10 days of age.
