STORM LAKE BUENA VISTA VIDETTE - Jan 22, 1909 - Mrs. Martha Jane Reeve died at the home of her sister, Mrs. W.C. Christopher, in Storm Lake, on January 15, 1909, aged 75 years, 3 months and 10 days.

Martha Jane Worthington was born in Green county, Pennsylvania, May 5, 1833. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elisha Worthington. In 1857 she came with the W.C. Christopher family to Peoria county, IL., and made her home with them until her marriage with John E. Reeve in 1864.

In 1876 her husband died and she came to Iowa and again made her home with the Christopher family near what is now Galva, Ida county. She removed with the Christopher family to Storm Lake in 1903 and has since made her home with them in this city.

For some mouths past she has been gradually failing, and for the past four weeks had been confined to her bed with a form of dysentery, and passed away on Friday as stated above.

Funeral services were held at the home where she died on Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev Nathaniel Pye, D.D., of the Methodist Episcopal church, and the interment took place in the Storm Lake cemetery.

Mrs. W.C. Christopher and family desire to express their thanks for the assistance and kind thoughtfulness of neighbors and friends during the sickness and after the death of their sister and aunt.
