Storm Lake Pilot Tribune - May 14, 1920 - Storm Lake lost one of its finest and oldest resident on Saturday morning of last week, when Mrs A.M. Morse answered the call. She had been in ill health for many months, and during the last four weeks was confined to her bed.
The funeral was held from the house on Sunday afternoon and also held at the Methodist Episcopal church. Interment was in the Storm Lake cemetery.
In the death of Mrs Morse Storm Lake loses one of it most highly esteemed women. Those present at the funeral from out of town were her niece, Miss Florence Donahey of Moline, IL; her cousin C Messer of Humboldt; another cousin, Miss Lola McGeorge of Sac City; and her brother, James Livingstone of Sac City.
Lucy Livingstone was born Feb 15, 1851, near the town of Pittsburgh, TN, where she spent the days of her girlhood. Later she came to the town of Florid, IL where she resided until the spring of 1880. She then came to Sac City, Iowa and remained there until her mother, brother, and sister were laid away in the Sac City cemetery. Following their death she went to Moline, IL and made her home with a sister, Mrs Donahey until May 1915.
On May 27, 1915 she came to Storm Lake and was united in marriage to A.M. Morse. During the last few months of her life she was in very poor health and for four weeks prior to her death she was confined to her bed.
The end came on Saturday evening, May 8. She was a devoted and faithful wife and made her home all that a home should be.
