Storm Lake Pilot-Tribune - May 18, 1944 - Rev Westphal of the Lakeside Presbyterian church conducted funeral services Wednesday afternoon in the Fiscus funeral home for Mrs S.P. McMakin. Mrs McMakin passed away Sunday morning at her home, 117 East First Street. Interment was in the Storm Lake cemetery.

Mrs McMakin, 59, had been seriously ill for many months. She was a lifelong resident of Storm Lake.

Surviving are her husband, her son, Kerlin Carroll, and her grandson of Redwood Falls, MN.

Eugene McMakin, son of Mr McMakin, was here from Chicago to attend the service.
