Storm Lake Pilot Tribune - Apr 12, 1928 - Fred McLaughlin, a long time resident of Storm Lake, died at Cherokee Monday evening about 10:30. He had been ill for some time.

Mr McLaughlin was born in De Witt, Iowa about 48 years ago and when a small child came to Storm Lake with his parents. Mrs and Mrs Charles McLaughlin. He grew to young manhood here and was married to Miss Lydia Nelson some years ago.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs Charles McLaughlin; two sisters, Mrs Charles Gage of Johnson City, NY and Mrs Helen Decker of Binghamton, NY. His mother and Mrs Gage arrived this Thursday morning at attend the funeral.

Funeral services will be held at the Fiscus Funeral Home Friday afternoon and the body laid to rest in the local cemetery.
