Storm Lake Pilot Tribune - Feb 27, 1903 - At his home in this city Saturday, Feb 21, 1903, Michael McAnulty, age 68 years, 8 months, and 21 days.

Deceased was born in Berks county, PA May 28, 1834 and came to Tama county, Iowa in 1857. He was married to Miss Susan C Doty at Toledo, Iowa Nov 1, 1856. As a result of this union one children was born, O.E. McAnulty, now a resident of Clarinda, Iowa.

In 1888 Mr McAnulty moved with his family to Storm Lake and for a number of years was engaged in the business of selling proprietary medicines in Buena Vista and Clay counties, where he was widely known.

Deceased when a young man espoused the cause of religion, joining with the Methodist Episcopal society and all his life lived as exemplary Christian.

Besides the widow and son who survive him, Mr McAnulty has two brothers: W.A. and W.H. and five sisters: Mrs Sarah Ann Maiden, Mrs Hannah Cox, Mrs Catherine Rhoades, and Misses Mary and Christiana McAnulty, all residents of Tama county, Iowa.

Mr McAnulty had been in poor health since last October but alarming symptoms did not develop until last Friday, when his death occurred the next day about 1 in the afternoon.

The funeral services were held at the M.E. church Monday afternoon. The remains were interred in the Storm Lake cemetery.
