Storm Lake Pilot Tribune - Feb 12, 1931 - Frank Martine, who had resided in and near Storm Lake since 1893, died at his home 123 Hudson street, Tuesday morning at about 10 at the age of 63 years. Mr Martine had been in ill health since November, when he suffered a slight paralytic stroke. He had almost entirely recovered, however, and was about as usual until Monday night, when he suffered a second stroke, which resulted in his death.

Frank Martine, son of Schultz and Almeda Martine, was born July 27, 1867 at Long Point, IL and he grew to manhood and received his education there. Feb 10, 1889 he was united in marriage to Miss Katie Kroa and Mr and Mrs Martine made their home at Long Point, IL until their removal to Storm Lake in 1893. They first located on a farm north of Storm Lake where they lived until they retired and moved to town a few years ago.

To this union three children were born: Schultz A Martine of Sacramento, CA; Blanche, now Mrs Ed Meyers of Truesdale; and Estella, now Mrs Harry Johnson of Manson.

He leaves to mourn his death, his beloved wife and three children; one brother, Bert Martine of Olcan, MO; several nieces and nephews and countless friends.

His parents preceded him in death several years ago in Storm Lake.

At the time of his death he was a member of the Modern Woodman of America.

Funeral services were held from the home Thursday afternoon and from the Baptist church. Burial was in the local cemetery.
