November 28, 1950 - Storm Lake Register - W.H. "Bill" Manchester, 82, longtime resident of Storm Lake, passed away at his home, 203 Geneseo Sunday evening. He has been a dry goods salesman in this area for 50 years, for which time he received a 50-year pin and plaque from the United Commercial Travelers. He had lived in Storm Lake for 45 years.

Mr Manchester had been in poor health since retiring two years ago. He had been confined to his bed the last month. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity for more than 45 years.

He was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence, who died a number of years ago, and his wife, in 1943.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. John Deiters of Storm Lake, and a son, W.H. Manchester, jr. of Chicago.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Hughes Funeral home with Dr C.C. Richardson in charge. Interment will be in the Storm Lake cemetery
