December 30, 1941 - Storm Lake Register - Services for Mrs W.G. Leckington, who passed away Sunday at Santa Monica, Cal. were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 at the Methodist church. Dr Joseph F Hutchinson, pastor of the church, officiated. Bearers were Harry Snyder, George Mudge, Ray Sharp, Rex Mather, M.M. Mandeville and Russell Wood. Burial was in the Storm Lake cemetery

Anna K Daughenbaugh, oldest daughter of Samuel A and Mary F Daughenbaugh, was born near Lena, Illinois March 11, 1874 and passed away Dec 20, 1941 at 1:30 a.m. in a hospital at Santa Monica, Cal.

On Sept 8, 1892 she was united in marriage to W.G. Leckington at Lena, Illinois. In the spring of 1899 they came to Storm Lake and resided on a farm south of the lake. Afterwards they moved into Storm Lake where they have since made their home.

Mr and Mrs. Leckington spent a great deal of time touring the United States and spent several winters in California which the latter greatly enjoyed. Mr and Mrs. Leckington were the parents of a son and five daughters.

The son and one daughter preceded their mother in death.

The surviving daughters are Mrs. Hazel M Davis, Sac City; Mrs Anna Kathryn Hix, Milford, Illinois; Mrs Bessie V Edwards, East St. Louis, Illinois; and Mrs Lucile L Beckfield of Albert City. There are also five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn two sisters and a brother, as well as other relatives and countless friends.
