Storm Lake Buena Vista Vidette - Sep 18, 1903 - Ethan M Lamb, died Friday Sept 11, 1903 at the age of 81 years, 8 months, and 5 days from the effects of dropsy, at the house of his daughter, Mrs Ewing in the east part of town.
Ethan Lamb was born Jan 6, 1822. In 1849 he went to Illinois and in Sept 1856, he was married to Miss Jane Chapman. They moved to Algona, Iowa and lived there till 1891 when they came to Storm Lake. He united with the Lakeside church in 1899.
He leaves a wife and two daughters: Mrs Ewing of this city and Mrs Mira Treadway of Sioux City to mourn for him.
Mr Lamb has been feeble for a number of years but has not been confined to his bed till within the last few months. For the past two weeks he was unconscious most of the time. His wife and daughters were with him but his enfeebled body made all efforts of prolonging life hopeless.
The funeral was held Sunday at the home and the body was laid to rest in the Storm Lake cemetery.
