Storm Lake Pilot Tribune - November 15, 1901 - John T Inman died at the family residence in this city Tuesday afternoon, Nov 12, of heart trouble after a lingering illness of nearly three months.
During his last sickness deceased was a great sufferer. He had been in poor health for some time previous to his confinement to his bed and had intended to spend the winter in the south, in hopes that the change might benefit him. During the early part of his sickness his condition did not have an alarming character and his relatives and friends looked for his ultimate recovery. But as the weeks wore away Mr Inman gradually grew weaker until he was beyond earthly aid.
Deceased was a man well and favorably known throughout Buena Vista county in which he had resided for the past 18 years. At the time of his death he was senior member of the implement firm of Inman and Cunningham of this city.
Mr Inman was born July 4th, 1855 in Benton county, this state where he resided until his removal to this county in 1883.
Dec 26th, 1878 Mr Inman was married to Miss Mary E DeMuth. Four children were born of this union; one, a daughter, dying in infancy; the others being Mrs William Cunningham of this city and Miss Grace and Clifford, who reside at the family home.
Mr Inman and family moved to Storm Lake from Washington township about 6 years ago, since which time deceased was engaged in business here. During the past 3 years he was engaged in the same business with his son-in-law, Wm Cunningham.
The funeral was held from the house yesterday afternoon. Interment was made in the Storm Lake cemetery.
Relatives and friends from out of town present at the funeral were Chas. Inman of Cedar Rapids, Geo Inman of Estherville, E.H. Cunningham and wife of Newell, and Mrs A Klingle of Burlington, WI.
