GREEN, LOW, LEWIS, BURR, HOLDRIDGE

Storm Lake Register - November 7, 1929 - O.R. Green, former well known Storm Lake resident, died at his home in Des Moines last Thursday October 31st following an illness of some time.

The body was brought to Storm Lake last Saturday by a sister, Mrs. J.W. Low of Minneapolis, and funeral services were held from the Hughes funeral chapel Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. O.M. Bond, pastor of the Methodist church here. Burial was in the local cemetery beside the parents and three brothers, who had preceded him in death.

Orange R. Green was born Lamoile, Illinois, August 23, 1857 and at the time of his death was 72 years, 2 months and 8 days of ago.

He grew to manhood and received his education in the schools in Illinois and was married there to Miss Cora Lewis. To this union two children were born: Frank L. Green of Los Angeles, California, and Mrs. Chas. Burr, who died about ten years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Green came to Storm Lake from Illinois 47 years ago and lived here for many years. About 10 years ago he located in Des Moines where he had since resided. He was well known in Storm Lake and the community and had many friends who will regret to learn of his death.

Besides his son, Frank L Green, he leaves to mourn his death two sisters: Mrs J.W. Low of Minneapolis and Mrs C.M. Holdridge of Chicago; and one brother Harry Green, of Minneapolis and other relatives and numerous friends.
