Pilot Tribune - July 13, 1988 - Services for Bernice Gwendolyn (Puckett) Gran, 92, Storm Lake, will be held 10 a.m. July 13 in Sliefert Chapel, Storm Lake. Rev. Duane Queen will officiate. Burial will be in the Storm Lake Cemetery. Sliefert Funeral Home, Storm Lake, is in charge of arrangements. She died July 9, 1988, at Buena Vista County Hospital, Storm Lake.

Bernice was born December 13, 1896, to John Thomas and Mary E. Puckett on the family farm outside of Lake City. She attended Northwestern University. She married Albert G. Gran, M.D. at Iowa City. She was an English and speech teacher.

Survivors include one nephew and two nieces.
