September 27, 1928 - Storm Lake Pilot Tribune - Abijah Brown, well known Storm Lake resident, died at his home at Marshall, MI Wednesday morning of this week at the age of nearly 95 years.

Mr. Brown lived here for many years, but for the past several years had made his home with his son, Henry Brown, at Marshall, Mich.

Mrs. Brown died three years ago last January.

Mr. Brown is survived by his son, Henry Brown, his brother-in-law, James Brown, and his sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary A. Gordon, and a nephew, Oscar Brown, all of Storm Lake, and by other relatives and hosts of friends. The body will arrive in Storm Lake Saturday morning. Funeral services will be held here and burial will be in the local cemetery. Arrangements for the funeral have not as yet been made.

- Abijah Brown, for many years a resident of Storm Lake, passed away at his home in Marshall, Michigan Wednesday morning, Sept 26.

Mr Brown fell about a month ago and broke his hip and since that time had been bedfast. His death is learned with sorrow by many Storm Lake friends.

The Brown family resided in Storm Lake for about 45 years. About five years ago they moved to Marshall, Michigan to make their home. Mr Brown was 94 years old.

The body will be brought to Storm Lake Saturday. Funeral services will be held here and burial made in the local cemetery.

The body will be accompanied to Storm Lake by Mr Browns adopted son, Henry Brown. Oscar Brown, who lives near Storm Lake is a nephew, and James Brown of this city is a brother of the deceased.

Mr Brown acquired nationwide prominence recently by taking an airplane ride which he thoroughly enjoyed.
