January 25, 1907 - Storm Lake Pilot Tribune - The funeral of the late Mrs D.D. Brown was held at the Lakeside church on Sunday afternoon, the Rev H.V. Comin having charge.

Mrs Brown, who was the mother of W.E. Brown, died last Thursday at the home of a relative in Ashland, WI, after a long illness.

She was one of the towns early settlers having settled here with her husband D.D. Brown about 35 years ago. He died several years ago.

Mrs Brown was distinctively a home woman and although an old resident, was not known to many of our citizens. Her life was filled with more than its share of sorrow, which followed her until the last years of her life.

Her nephew, a Mr Lindsay of Minneapolis, accompanied the remains to this city. Interment was made in the Storm Lake cemetery.
