Roy Milton Bjorklund, 81, Storm Lake, died on May 10, 1992, at the Methodist Manor in Storm Lake.

Roy was born on May 13, 1910, in Albert City to Erick and Ida Caroline (Anderson) Bjorklund. Although he spent most of his life in the Albert City area, he attended school in Marshall Township, Pocahontas County. After completing his education, he farmed until he entered the U.S. Army on April 20, 1942.

During World War II, he served as a P.F.C. auto equipment operator, receiving an honorable discharge on October 28, 1945.

Roy, then, returned to farming. After retiring in December of 1973, he moved to town where he kept busy mowing lawns and working as a handy man. In November 1985, he entered the Methodist Manor in Storm Lake. He was a member of the Albert City Evangelical Covenant Church.

He was preceded in death by four brothers — Rudolph, Elmer, Walter, and Arthur; and one sister—Esther.

Survivors include one sister — Elvera, and her husband, LeRoy Anderson, of Storm Lake.

Services for Roy Bjorklund were held May 13, 1992, at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Albert City, Rev. David Wells officiating. Burial was in the Fairfield Township Cemetery, Albert City. The Sliefert Funeral Home, Storm Lake, was in charge of the arrangements.
