Mildred Dorothy Blomgren, 66, of Pocahontas, died on September 15, 1988, at the Pocahontas Community Hospital, Pocahontas.

Mildred was born on June 19, 1922, to Nels and Anna (Stahl) Anderson in Albert City. Baptized on July 19, 1922, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Albert City, and confirmed there on May 30, 1937, she graduated from Albert City High School in 1941. Then, she worked as a telephone operator in Albert City. On June 4, 1951, she married Irvin Blomgren in Jackson, Minnesota.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; two brothers — Holly and Allie Anderson; and one grandson — Kelly Blomgren.

Survivors include one son — Colin Blomgren, of Albert City; one daughter — Teresa Blomgren, of Laurens; and two grandchildren — Patrick Blomgren, of Marathon; and Dawn Blomgren, of Albert City.

Services for Mildred were held September 17, 1988, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Albert City, Rev. Robeck officiating. Burial took place in Fairfield Cemetery, Albert City. The Sliefert Funeral Home, Albert City, was in charge of the arrangements.
