February 27, 1935 - August 29, 2015Donald D. Oehlerich, age 80, of Albert City, Iowa, died on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Pleasant View Home in Albert City.
Donald Dean Oehlerich, a son of Christian and Margaret (Jensen) Oehlerich, was born on February 27, 1935, in Keystone, Iowa. Baptized on March 17, 1935, and later confirmed on March 4, 1948, Donald attended school in Keystone, graduating from Keystone High School in 1952. He, then, worked in management for a corrugated box company.
Married, Donald was blessed with three sons: Doug, Scott, and Jim Lindstrom. On September 11, 1970, Donald was united in marriage to Kay Crump in Dallas, Texas. Subsequently, they were blessed with one daughter, Michelle.
Donald joined Zion Lutheran Church in Storm Lake and the Albert City Historical Society.
In his spare time, Donald enjoyed fishing and traveling. He very much valued his family, especially his grandkids, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Kay Oehlerich, of Albert City, Iowa; his children, Michelle Oehlerich, of Albert City, Iowa, and Doug, Scott, and Jim Lindstrom, all of Nebraska; his grandchildren: Gage Stephens, and her fiancé, Jesse Krug; Cooper Stephens, and her fiancé, George Unger; and Derek, Brett (Shay), Paige, Abby, and Kyle Lindstrom; his great grandchildren: Maci Shea Unger, Norah Rae Stephens (arriving in November), and Malachi, Jocelyn, Savannah, Kaisen, and Kynleigh Lindstrom; his brother, Bobby C. Oehlerich, of Nebraska; and his sister, Darlene Hoover, of Ohio; as well as extended family members and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Christian and Margaret Oehlerich; his sisters, Ruth and Betty; and one granddaughter, Kaylee.
