Amy B. Price, age 102, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on Friday, September 4, 2015, at North Lake Manor in Storm Lake.

Amy Belle Erven, a daughter of Benjamin A. and Harriet E. (Mathis) Erven, was born in Perry, Iowa, on January 24, 1913. She lived her youth and received her education at South Sioux City, Nebraska. She graduated from South Sioux City High School.

On September 3, 1931, Amy married Nolan Allen Price in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Subsequently, they were blessed with one daughter, Amy Darlene. Nolan worked as a federal meat inspector and following their wedding, they resided in Sioux City, Iowa. In 1963, however, they moved to Storm Lake. Following Nolan’s death in 1984, Amy continued to make her home in Storm Lake. She became a resident of North Lake Manor in December of 2009.

Amy was a member of the United Methodist Church and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She had a “green thumb” and grew many African violets and enjoyed working with the flowers in her yard. She’ll, also, be remembered for her love of sewing.

Amy is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Darlene Evans, of Storm Lake, Iowa; and her granddaughter, Debra and Duane Osman, of Pine Cliff, Colorado; as well as by other extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son-in-law, Robert Evans; one brother and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at the Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
