April 9, 1915 - Storm Lake Buena Vista Vidette - Frank Joray was born January 6, 1855 at Menia, NY and moved with his parents to Van Duesenville, MA at nine years of age, where he lived until 17 years of age when he moved with his mother and brothers to Storm Lake. Two years later he went to Ironton, WI, where he remained for four years.
He was united in marriage to Miss Delphine Malinda Beuchaw at Ironton, Oct 29, 1878 and they came to Storm Lake to make their home. To this union were born five children, two boys: Frank Henry and Herbert Lee, who died in infancy; Rosalie Florine, Mrs Lillie May Bram, and Nora Violet, all of whom live in Storm Lake.
Mr Joray was the oldest of six children, one sister died at the age of five years, two brothers now live at Atchison, Kansas, and two brothers, Oscar and Amiel, who live in Storm Lake.
He followed the carpenter trade for years and was an excellent workman. He has been a member of the Storm Lake Fire Department since it organization and was ever ready to respond to a call. He has been a splendid citizen in every way, always doing his share for the public good.
He has been in poor health for some time, and his case has been known to be hopeless for the past few months. This has been double sad to the children as the mother also is in critical health.
On Tuesday morning April 16, 1915 he breathed his last and the funeral services were conducted at the Presbyterian church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev Ambler, the body was laid to rest in the Lakeview cemetery. The sympathy of every one is extended to the bereaved family.
