January 2, 1959 - January 7, 2015Kae Dierenfeld, age 56, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.
Kae Lynn Broyles, a daughter of Charles and Jeannette (Tribby) Broyles, was born on January 2, 1959, in Columbus, Georgia. She attended school in Marshalltown, Iowa, and graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1977. On June 13, 1998, she married David Dierenfeld at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. During her adult life, she worked at McDonald’s and as a dog grooming assistant.
Kae enjoyed camping, knitting, and taking road trips. A people person, she loved to talk with those she knew. Most of all, however, she loved spending time with her family, especially if she could play with her two grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing with her dog.
Kae will be remembered as a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, David Dierenfeld, of Storm Lake, Iowa; her children: Kenny Jacksen, of Hamilton, Montana, and Heather Wempe, of Breda, Iowa; her grandchildren, Abbigail and Nathan Wempe; her mother, Jeannette Broyles, of Marshalltown, Iowa; and her brother, Craig Broyles, also of Marshalltown, Iowa; as well as extended family members and friends.
Kae was preceded in death by her father, Charles Broyles; her sister, Sue Duff; and sister-in-law, Nadine Broyles.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Visitation will take place on Friday, January 9, 2015, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
