Allen Lee Weier
July 16, 1944 - October 29, 2014

Allen Lee Weier, a son of Lloy and Jennie (Kruse) Weier, was born on July 16, 1944, in Storm Lake, Iowa. He spent his childhood in Linn Grove, Iowa, where he received his education. In 1962, he entered the military, serving with the U.S. Navy until his honorable discharge in 1966. While in the Navy, he was stationed aboard the USS Kitty Hawk. After his discharge, he returned to northwest Iowa where he worked for several years in the welding and mechanical trades.

Allen married Gail Hawke Williamson, on November 22, 1975, in Spencer, Iowa. After their marriage, they lived in Spencer until 1986 when they moved to Dickens, Iowa. After he retired, they moved to Bradgate, Iowa, in 2008.

Allen passed away at the Sioux Care Center in Sioux Rapids, Iowa, on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at the age of 70. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Bob, Dean, Sr., Wayne, and Frank 'Bill' Weier, and one sister, Carol Konrady.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Gail, of Bradgate, Iowa; his children: Danae (Mike) Thoene, of George, Iowa, Jeff Williamson, of Alpha, Minnesota, Tina White, of Hartley, Iowa, Jim (Jodi) Weier, of Woodward, Iowa, Kelly Cluphf, and her special friend, Damon Brigham, of Hartley, Iowa, and Michelle Williamson, of Mount Union, Iowa; three brothers: Marlin (Laura) Weier, of Linn Grove, Iowa, and Keith (Thelma) Weier and Charlie Weier, both of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; two sisters: Mary (John) Smith, of Linn Grove, Iowa, and Cheryl Coyle, of Schleswig, Iowa; two sisters-in-law, Barb Weier, of Hartley, Iowa, and Lolita Weier, of Linn Grove, Iowa; twenty-two grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and many friends.

VISITATION: Beginning at 5:00 P.M., Friday, with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday evening, October 31, 2014, at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.
SERVICES: At 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 1, 2014, at the Warner Chapel in Spencer, Pastor Grant Mangold, officiating.
MUSIC: “Just A Closer Walk With Thee,” “Take My Hand Precious Lord,” “Daddy's Hands.”
CASKET BEARERS: Don Adams, Kenny Weier, Mike Weier, Jason Smith, Dean Weier, Jr., Kevin Weier, Larry Konrady.
INTERMENT: North Lawn Memorial Park, Spencer, Iowa.

A military service will be conducted by Glen Pedersen Post #1 - American Legion and V.F.W. Post #3159 of Spencer, Iowa, at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established by the family.
