October 2, 1945 - February 5, 2013Carole Anne Culp of Hebron, Nebraska, departed this life on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at St. Elizabeth's Regional Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska. at the age of 67 years.
The daughter of Ralph and Violet (Stanton) Wetherell, Carole was born on October 2, 1945, in Storm Lake. She grew up in the Storm Lake area and graduated from Storm Lake High School with the class of 1966.
At the age of fifteen, she started working as a cook for a restaurant in Storm Lake.
On November 2, 1967, she married Dale E. Culp at the First United Presbyterian Church at Deshler, Nebraska. In 1989, they moved to Deshler where Carole found employment as a cook in local restaurants until her declining health forced her to retire.
Carole loved playing cards, reading, watching wrestling, and cheering on the Nebraska Huskers and the Iowa Hawkeyes. She, however, especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Christopher; her brothers, Clifford, and his wife, Ruby, Burton, and his wife, Marilyn, and Glen, and his wife, Norene, as well as Charles, Paul, and Dick Wetherell; her sisters: Marge Dicks, and her husband, Dale, Phyllis Brown, and her husband, Darold, and Darlene Wetherell as well as an infant sister, Mary Catherine Wetherell; along with other deceased relatives.
Carole is survived by her husband, Dale; her son, Jerry; her daughters, Amy, Janelle, and Trish Culp, all of Hebron, Nebraska; her brothers, Dale Wetherell, and his wife, Rose, of Storm Lake, Bill Wetherell, and his wife, Connie, of Whiting, Denny Wetherell, and his wife Faye, of Woodbridge, Virginia; her sisters, Berniece Heschke, and her husband, Harold, of Carson City, Nevada, Helen Fredericksen, of Cherokee, Sharron Hervey, of Newton, Shirley Francis, and her husband, George, of Havelock, and Lavina Nelson, of Des Moines; and her sister-in-law, Carol Wetherell, of Cherokee.
Memorial services were held on Friday, February 8, 2013, at the Hebron Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Hebron, Fr. Rudy Oborny officiating. Inurnment was at the Belvidere Cemetery in Belvidere, Nebraska. Memorials may be sent in care of the family or to the Hebron Memorial Funeral Home, 330 N. 5th St., Hebron, NE 68370.
