Donna Jean Winslow, the daughter of Arthur and Bertha Whitney, was born on October 24, 1923, in Storm Lake, Iowa. She passed away on June 6, 2012, at the Methodist Manor.
After graduating from Storm Lake High School, Donna Jean attended Grinnell College and the University of Iowa. She married Roy Stille and made her home in Storm Lake where they raised their children, Steve and Debi. After Roy’s death in 1971, she married Wayne Winslow in 1976. They made their home in Okoboji, Iowa, Naples, Florida, and Spencer, Iowa.
Donna Jean had a passion for antiques, especially patterned glass, Native American jewelry, and artifacts of the American Southwest. She also enjoyed having her own antique shop “The Collector”. She was a member of Quester’s Club in Spencer, and the Spencer Golf and Country Club, and PEO, Chapter AT. She attended the Methodist Church in Spencer and was a member of Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Storm Lake.
Donna Jean was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Stille; her parents; her sister, Pauline; and an infant brother, Joseph. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Winslow, of Spencer; her son, Steve (wife, Becky), of Storm Lake; her daughter, Deb Trizila, of South Sioux City, Nebraska; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four step-children; nine step-grandchildren; and one step-great-granddaughter.
Memorials may be made in memory of Donna Jean Winslow and directed to Steve Stille, 720 E. Lakeshore Drive, Storm Lake, Iowa 50588.
Private graveside services for Donna Jean will be held on June 9, 2012, at the Buena Vista Memorial Cemetery in Storm Lake.
