Mary C. Morgan, age 92, of Decorah, Iowa, and formerly of Storm Lake, Iowa, died Saturday, May 12, 2012, in Decorah.

Mary Catherine Drey was born August 2, 1919, in Early, Iowa, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Lucey) Drey. She was baptized and later confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Early. Her education began at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Early where she graduated with the class of 1938.

On November 18, 1946, Mary married Frances Walter Morgan at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Early. They were blessed with nine children: Dan, Shane, Marilee, Pat, Joe, Laurie, Tim, Cathy, and Rob.

Having been a lifelong devoted member of the Catholic faith, Mary served in the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She was a member of the Has Beens Nursing Group. Above all else, however, Mary loved her family. She took great pride in entertaining them at her table where she was often heard saying, "There is always a place at the table. What is one more?" Her love of cooking was one of her many gifts to her children and grandchildren.

Those who will cherish Mary’s memory include her children: Dan (Kathy) Morgan, of Corning, Iowa, Shane (Mary) Morgan, of LeMars, Iowa, Marilee (Allen) Tayler, of Decorah, Iowa, Pat (Donna) Morgan, of Storm Lake, Iowa, Joe Morgan, of Ferguson, Missouri, Laurie (Chuck) Tucker, of Alachua, Florida, Tim Morgan, of New Orleans, Louisiana, Cathy (Russ) Babe, of Schleswig, Iowa, and Rob (Lisa) Morgan, of Schofield, Wisconsin; twenty-one grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret Smith, of Lake View, Iowa; as well as other extended family and many friends.

Preceding Mary in death were her parents; her husband; four sisters; and one brother.

Visitation: 4:30-8:00 p.m., 4:30 p.m., Rosary and 7:00 p.m., Vigil Service, May 17, 2012, at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m., May 18, 2012, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Interment: May 18, 2012, at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Storm Lake, Iowa.
