Joseph Wolff, age 75, of Newell, Iowa, died April 5, 2012, at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.

Joseph Edward Wolff was born June 27, 1936, in Schaller, Iowa, the son of Leo and Marcella (Haselhoff) Wolff. Marcella passed away in 1943 and then Joseph was raised by his stepmother, Betty Wolff.

Growing up, Joe attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in Storm Lake, graduating in 1954.

On June 11, 1956, Joe married Nancy Price in Storm Lake. They were blessed with four children: Richard, Allan, Julie, and Lynn.

Joe was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake. He loved farming the land and overhauling cars and tractors. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards. Treasuring his family, Joe enjoyed visiting his children and grandchildren as well as attending their activities. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include: his wife, Nancy Wolff, of Newell, Iowa; his children: Richard (Patti) Wolff, of Newell, Iowa, Allan (Diana) Wolff, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Julie (Michael) Sexton, of Newell, Iowa, and Lynn (Harry) Schaller, of Storm Lake, Iowa; his grandchildren: Matthew (Carrie) Wolff, of Alta, Iowa, Patrick Wolff, of Sac City, Iowa, Theodore Wolff (fiancée, Maren Vik), of Coppell, Texas, Brent Sexton (fiancée, Brooke Whiting), of Spirit Lake, Iowa, Christa Sexton, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, Rachel and Renee Wolff, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Ian, Adam, and Olivia Schaller, of Storm Lake, Iowa, his great grandchildren: Evin Wolff, Cypren Wolff, and Carter Sexton; his brothers: Edward Wolff, of Kent, Washington, William (Luella) Wolff, of Pittsburg, Kansas, and Norman (Pam) Wolff, of Newell, Iowa; his sisters: Mary Niehaus, of Fonda, Iowa, Judy Rewerts, of Defiance, Iowa, Linda (Ron) Tilton, of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Jean (Jeff) Currie, also of Storm Lake, Iowa; as well as extended family and many friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Marcella Wolff; his stepmother, Betty Wolff; and his brothers-in-law, Don Niehaus and George Rewerts.

Visitation: 4:30-8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 4:30 p.m., April 09, 2012, at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m., April 10, 2012, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Vigil Service: 7:00 p.m., April 09, 2012, at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Interment: April 10, 2012, at the Newell Cemetery in Newell, Iowa.
