[1923] - March 1, 2012

Donna (McCabe) Kelly, age 89, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away March 1, 2012, in Colorado Springs after a sudden illness. She was surrounded by friends and family.

Donna was born in Storm Lake, graduating in 1940 from Storm Lake High School. She moved to Washington, DC, and over the next decade worked at the Pentagon and various other military installations throughout the country.

Donna married Edward Kelly, of Fonda, on December 29, 1954. They had three children: Kevin (Mary) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Karen (Dominic Villescas) of Dallas, Texas, and Steven (Sara) Kelly, of Urbandale. Devoted to her family, Donna loved traveling to visit her grandchildren and support them in their activities and various other undertakings.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband in 2008; her parents, Albert and Ellen McCabe; and her seven siblings: Maurice (her twin), Frances, Thomas, Theresa, Daniel, Murray and Richard. She is survived by her children and six grandchildren: Brian, Megan, Shannon, Kate, and Alex Kelly and Anastaisa Villescas.

Graveside services will be held Monday, March 12, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
