Mrs. Lois Jeanne Scott, 75, entered the Presence of the Lord on October 3, 2011, at home in Belvidere, New Jersey.
Lois was born on June 26, 1936, in Correctionville, a daughter of the late C. Barton and Clara Baker. She attended Marathon High School, graduating in 1954.
On May 28, 1954, she married the late Gerald D. Scott, of Storm Lake. Her husband entered the pastoral ministry in 1963 and his calling quickly became a shared vocation that focused on bringing Christ's love to many. For decades, she actively taught the Bible at the Washington Assembly of God Church. After the Scotts retired from their pastoral ministry, they opened The Scott House, a ministry to infants born to mothers with addictions. Scott House operated in Washington, New Jersey, and then in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, until Rev. Scott's death in 2009.
The Scotts were adoptive and foster parents for many years. Lois was known to many simply as "Momma."
